IOCM Inauguration

With one year delay, but no less enthralling, the inauguration of the IOCM masters programme took place on December 16 2021. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, only IOCM students and staff were invited to participate in person, everyone else however could witness the event via livestream. After a few welcoming words by Dean Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Knoepffler, Prof. Dr. Biermann reflected on the genesis of the programme as well as the past year. Then, Dr. Thomas Bagger of the Federal President's Office gave a lecture on German foreign policy with a special focus on the current crisis in Afghanistan, which was followed by a vibrant dicussion.
